A letter to Santa Claus

Dear Santa Claus,

in the world there are children who are very lucky and have got a lot of toys but  they want more toys. But there are children in the world who don’t have toys, don’t know your history but want only one important present: PEACE.peace.jpg

When I was a little child I liked to read a book about YOU. I remember in that book there were a lot of pictures but only one great idea: LOVE is the most important present for our world.

Now I’m 12 years old and kids of this age don’t believe in you. But I think you really exist. You have different names: Babbo Natale,  Santa Claus , St Nicholasbabbo.jpg but I think that everybody can be a “Santa Claus” if he/she can give only a smile to the others.

Wonderful words! Let’s send good thoughts to all the people in this world and pray for PEACE and more tolerance.
The spirit of Christmas should last forever, even when carols are not sung and Christmas trees cannot be decked.

Here are a few lines of Louis Stevenson’s poem called A CHRISTMAS PRAYER that we find amazing:

    Loving Father,
Help us remember the birth of Jesus,
that we may share in the song of the angels,
    the gladness of the shepherds,
and worship of the wise men.

    Close the door of hate
and open the door of love all over the world.
Let kindness come with every gift
and good desires with every greeting.
Deliver us from evil by the blessing
    which Christ brings,
and teach us to be merry with clear hearts.

    All the best,
    Liliana&the kids
